I'm not too impressed by this. It's a little outdated in that he says "4 periods a year has been proven safe"; in reality total menstrual suppression has been proven safe. And while there's no studies on using the ring to suppress menstruation, I don't think there are any on the pill (regular pills) doing it either. He's being over-conservative, in my opinion. Personal experience: I, and many other people, have skipped periods successfully on the ring, though there seems to be a higher rate of spotting than with pills, probably due to the lower dose.
