The author raises some good points about the pro/cons of what a drug like Lybrel will do. I think the most important point she makes is that we don't really know what the long term effects of not having a period might be. What irks me is the (in my mind) overly sentimental way she talks about menstruation. While I do agree that some women would miss the griping sessions and the chocolate cravings and what have you...I don't think that's going to be a big concern for the women who would seriously consider choosing Lybrel.
